FlowPlay has launched its new app for Zoom, entitled Live Game Night Poker, which will deliver an “embedded experience” accessible within Zoom Meetings.
Available in the Zoom App Marketplace, Live Game Night Poker leverages “state-of-the-art technology” to provide as close to an in-person connection as possible, allowing up to 10 of a host’s colleagues to play together in a face-to-face matchup.

The Seattle-based FlowPlay created this Texas Hold ‘Em game as a new app embedded within Zoom Meetings. The video app is available in the Zoom App Marketplace for those who are still stuck in long-distance communication, which I think is most of us.
Zoom is adding games that you can play with your friends and co-workers directly in the videoconferencing app, the company said Wednesday. In the Zoom App Marketplace, you'll find games like Live Game Night Poker, Kahoot and Heads Up, which you can access within your Zoom meetings. At a time when businesses are navigating hybrid workplaces, the addition of Zoom Apps, including games, aims to provide a new way to nurture company culture and connect people directly within the Zoom platform.
Physical silos are great for storing grain. Corporate silos—when teams become isolated from one another, never sharing information or interacting—are a pervasive problem in tech, especially when it comes to projects that need as much transparency as possible to succeed.
However, silos are sometimes hard to spot, especially if you’re working virtually. From a management perspective, one way to break these silos down is to encourage cross-collaboration among teams and departments to ensure everyone is on the same page. That means being proactive about ensuring teams hear and address all ideas and concerns.
As the pandemic unfolded in early 2020, my team and many others around the world were forced to make swift decisions around how to enable new and productive ways of work. We acted quickly, moving our entire workforce fully remote on March 2. It was the right decision — and one I'm proud of — but now, much of the team is wondering what our return to normal looks like and how soon it will come to fruition.
