Derrick has been a games and online entertainment executive for over 14 years. During his career he has led the development of over 200 digital entertainment projects. Over the course of the
past 7 years he has been a key executive at the top online game websites - iWin, Uproar, Flipside, Virtual Vegas and GameHouse. Most recently he was General Manager of Mobile Games for
RealNetworks, a business unit he founded. At RealNetworks Derrick negotiated long-term distribution agreements with Cingular, Verizon, Virgin Mobile, and Vodafone Global among others. Additionally,
he was singularly responsible for negotiating the mobile rights to South Park, MTV Cribs, and The Apprentice. Derrick was a key executive at GameHouse which was acquired in 2004 by RealNetworks.
GameHouse subsequently became Real's studio for Xbox, PC, Mobile and online game development. Mr. Morton received a BA, magna cum laude, from USC Film School and an MBA from UCLA's
Anderson School.
Doug was most recently founder of ThreePenny Software, a successful casual games studio for mobile and handheld devices. ThreePenny shipped more than 20 casual game titles. Dr. Pearson
has more than 10 years experience as a professional software developer leading dozens of projects for organizations like Real Networks and the Department of Defense. These have included
multi-million dollar efforts and high performance client-server software solutions similar to the requirements for FlowPlay. He received a distinguished achievement award and was nominated for
a distinguished dissertation award for his Ph.D. thesis work in the field of Artificial Intelligence. He has published over 15 academic research papers and contributed to 2 patents. Artificial Intelligence
is primarily the study of complex system design and Doug's specialized knowledge in this area is directly applicable to the challenges of building FlowPlay's virtual gaming platform. He combines
expertise in casual game and complex system design with the proven ability to deliver software solutions on time and within budget. Doug has a first class honors B.Sc. from the University of St.
Andrews and a Masters and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
Christian began his career in the casual games industry in 1999 as the first product manager at iWin.com. At iWin he managed several key products helping the company scale to several million members prior to being rolled up into VivendiUniversal through a series of acquisitions. At VivendiUniversal Christian served as Director of Product Development and later worked in product management roles at WorldWinner and Yahoo! Games. Christian is currently a Product Manager at Google leading the team responsible for new advertising formats including Gadget Ads, AdSense for Games, and AdSense for Video. He has a BA, Cum Laude, in Economics and International Relations from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from UC Berkeley.
Michael is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of rapid growth, start-up, and turn-around management spanning nearly 25 years. As a successful Internet entrepreneur and investor he has
helped launch more than a dozen companies. He has been in leadership roles in public and private companies, non-profit and public service organizations. Michael has managed teams as small as
5 people and organizations as large as 350 employees and has been an active public speaker for nearly 10 years. . Previous roles include President and CEO of Classmates.com and SVP Global
Games Division of RealNetworks. Michael holds an MBA in Finance and Economics from the W.E. Simon School at University of Rochester and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
Dick is cofounder and CEO of FeedBurner. Previously, he cofounded and was CEO of Spyonit.com. Spyonit was sold to 724 Solutions in September 2000. Prior to Spyonit, Dick cofounded Burning Door Networked Media, a web design and development consulting company. Burning Door was acquired by Digital Knowledge Assets in October 1996. Prior to Burning Door, Dick was at Andersen Consulting for 8 years, where his roles included Senior Manager, Strategy, Application Products Group and Senior Manager, Application Infrastructure, Eagle Advanced Technology Group.
